Pfotenhilfe-Europa Team
In 2009 three delegates of the EU named Hammerstein, Hutchinson and Parish handed in the written declaration no. 12 to the European Parliament.
This declaration finally had the purpose to implement an obliging and pan-European animal protection law.
However, this could just have been realised, if at least 50 % of the EU politicians would have signed this declaration until 7th of May 2009.
On 24th April 2009, medical doctor Roland Eichler, Elke Otte, Birgit Lewe and Annamaria Imm-Koczian went to the European Parliament in Strassbourg for a special campaign.
During a secon campaign early in May more team members of the Pfotenhilfe Ungarn followed. Unfortunately this declaration failed because of 99 missing signatures. However we and many others wanted to carry on with this.
That is how the idea for the Pfotenhilfe Europe was born.
