Blue and his sister knew that the street could bring their death and so they avoided it as far as it was possible. Suddenly there was delicious smell in the air and they followed their noses to the smell. It smelled so delicious of meat and when the two reached the place, they gorged the meat. Blue was a bit nervous, because he didn’t trusted the fact that there was lying delicious meat like this and no other smelled it.
After the two finished eating, they went by. But suddenly Blues sister broke down. She terribly whined and squeaked and Blueeyes didn’t know what he might do or how he could help her and so he rested at her side. His sister took a deep breath, closed the eyes and breathed out. Blue nudged her with his nose but she didn’t react anymore.
Now, Blue was the only survivor of three siblings. The years went by and he grew older and wiser. In all these years, he produced several litters of puppies several times a year. Blue learned out of all experiences, he had made. On feeding lots, he let others ate first so be sure that the feed was not poisoned and on streets, he watched everything very long and then crossed the street as fast as he could.
One day, he met Stefano, an animal rights activist with a huge heart and reason. Stefano created feeding lots for the dogs and fed them every day. Blue began to understand that Stefano was different than other people and slowly started to trust him. It was Stefano, who gave Blueeyes his name.
The years didn’t pass by without leaving traces an Blue, he now is a dog grand-pa of about 9 or 10 years. His joints don’t work so well anymore and his hip hurts. The upcoming winter will probably the last one for Blue. He has experienced a lot and bequeathed a lot.
Blue, in our thoughts, you will always be with us.
