"Project Puglia": Daily routine of animal welfare in Italy
Dear animal friends,
last tuesday, Stefano came back from his trip to Germany and he did not find any time to rest from this exhausting journey until now. Animal welfare knows no free time.
He got the information that an animal shelter in the neighbour-village will be closed and that all dogs are going to be abandoned. He drove there immediately but could not find anyone there.
On his daily feeding tours he has found a bandog, which he now cares for and hopefully he can convince its owners to let it free.
It is still very, very hot in Apulia. The dogs hole up into holes, which Stefano fills with water over night, that they have a little cooling during the day and the kennels have an additional cover, as well.
There is always a lot to do. Day by day and without breather.
